FRANCE-BRAZIL COLLABORATION

SOUND PERFORMANCE SATURDAY, JUNE 7, 4 TO 10 P.M.

As part of Nuit Blanche and the exhibition Les Amazones II, French artist Kashink is invited, along with artist Sayonara Pinheiro, to present a sound performance from their Escuta project, which explores the interaction between sound and nature.

Sayonara Pinheiro captures the sounds of plants and trees, while Kashink transforms the vibrations of conducting elements into music.

In April 2023, they recorded sounds in the Jardin de l'Unesco in Paris to develop a first version of their project. This work will culminate in an original immersive plant and audiovisual installation, with a live performance combining live sound recording and mixing, presented at Nuit Blanche 2025.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES

Kashink

Kashink is one of the few international female artists actively involved in urban art. She lives in Paris. Her work questions aesthetic codes and the definition of identity. Whether celebrating diversity or confronting social norms, Kashink sees herself as an activist.

Since 2013, she has worn a pencil moustache as her daily make-up. She considers it a statement as well as a sociological experiment, creating random conversations with strangers about beauty, gender, norms and freedom.

The artist likes the idea of constant performance, creating huge murals or experimenting with face painting, which she has been developing as an incarnation of the characters she has been painting on walls for the past 2 years. Kashink composes and deforms her characters, far removed from the traditional references of female graffiti. Since 2021, Kashink has been developing her project around experimental music.

Sayonara Pinheiro

An artist deeply connected to the natural space surrounding her home in Natal, Brazil, she creates works that interact with nature. Living near the ocean, an environment she frequents every day, she conceives creations based on marks that illustrate various temporal strata, the imprints left by natural elements. Her art embodies the dynamism of an ever-changing environment. Her artistic work stems from her interventions in public spaces, where she proposes forms and elements as offerings to experience the city from a different angle.

Performance in partnership with Pixo and Terrart
