About the documentary :

"Perché sei qui by Carla Costanza | 2023 | France / Italy | Documentary | 22 min

Synopsis
It's a journey that takes a girl to Sicily (Italy), to follow her partner on his street art project, filming his frescoes. Sicily is the land of her birth, which she decided to leave in the past. Landscapes frozen in time, ancient memories of the ghost towns of a forgotten Sicily. But above all, the last craftsmen she met along the way. They are echoes that fill a void, a space and a heart, enabling the young girl, little by little, to begin rebuilding a now-lost link between herself and her own land.

About Alberto RUCE :

Alberto Ruce was born in Sicily in 1988. As a painter, he works both on the streets and in his studio. At the age of 13-14, he began experimenting with sprays and tags. He began his artistic career totally self-taught, a path made up of observations and confrontations with other graffiti artists. In 2009, he moved to Paris for five years. During this period, he met a number of artists and took part in national and international festivals. From 2011 to 2014, he studied drawing, painting and perspective at the Atelier des Beaux-arts de Paris. Ruce currently lives in Marseille, where he has set up his studio. Here, he works on various artistic projects that enable him to forge a link between France and Italy.
