This book is the culmination of fruitful exchanges between fellows and guests of the German Center for Art History (DFK Paris) as part of the 2021/22 "Street Art" research project. Street Art ". The diversity of contributions - field studies, philosophical and historical contributions, interviews with artists - explores the variety of practices and sensitive uses of urban space, where aesthetic, political and social demands are interwoven, from anti-police graffiti in the XIXe century anti-police graffiti in Paris to Hong Kong's pro-democracy movements, from urban spaces to official institutions.
