About Kali Yuga

Cycle after cycle, Shiva destroys and regenerates.
There's no need to believe in him.
His dance is a jolt when everything rolls into the abyss.
Like something that wants to save the wake-up call of a new life.
Far from blind certainties. Far from the lamentations of comfort.
Far from the epilogues that make light of things, the game of nothingness, the grip of destiny. As we review the end of the world,
we see that it's never just the end of a world.

The fourth cycle of Hindu cosmology, the Kali Yuga corresponds to an age of strife, conflict and darkness, without goodness or virtue. According to calculations based on the Lingä Purânä, the fundamental treatise of Shivaism, the dawn of this cycle began in 3606 B.C., its twilight in 1939 A.D. and its end in 2442. In its wisdom, however, the Lingä Purânä advises us not to exclude some probable margins of error.
