SPEEDY GRAPHITO LA GRANDE ILLUSION

Speedy Graphito is taking over Fluctuart with an immersive optico-play experience created especially for the art centre. The exhibition La Grande Illusion takes us on an experimental journey to decode, discover and re-read the image in all its forms. It’s an exceptional opportunity to discover a leading urban artist.

In a world where images predominate, where the gaze is formatted and controlled, where reality and fiction confuse the mind, Speedy Graphito offers us a look back at what is and what isn’t, at what does and doesn’t exist, and at all the metamorphoses of perception.

The viewer becomes the missing element in the work, and the justification for his or her presence gives the work its existence. The apprehension of space, the interference of rhythms and colours, the effects of surprise are all there to help us experience a unique adventure and discover different facets of the artist’s universe.

The exhibition will bring together a dozen works that play tricks on the eye with a succession of recent installations. The image will be present in all its forms: 8-bit pixels, the video games of our childhood, the volume setting of recent paintings, the animated holographic image…
