Olivia de Bona

For ten years now, Olivia de Bona has been developing a poetic lexicon of images that combine her personal imagination with collective imagery and that she uses according to the media and materials that her creative curiosity brings her across.

Olivia de Bona graduated in Applied Arts and Animated Cinema in 2005. She quickly discarded the digital medium in order to satisfy her interest in artisanal know-how; since then, she has never stopped enriching her technical palette to better express her art. She invests the streets and absorbs herself in mural painting, notably during collaborations with Le 9e Concept, and explores printing techniques to the point of printing her book “À l’heure de la Sieste” herself in linocut. Recently, on the occasion of the residency at Aux Tableaux and the project “Tous Aux Abris” of the collective 100 pression, she turned to object scenography through volume installations. Unable to dissociate the work from its support, she considers each realization as a whole and it is often a technical curiosity that inspires her to create a new project.
