RENCONTRE│ STAN MANOUKIAN

Nous aurons le plaisir d’accueillir Stan Manoukian pour une rencontre et séance de dédicaces le dimanche 12 Juin de 15h à 17h.

Stan Manoukian s’inscrit dans la génération du post lowbrow mondial, avec des compositions extrêmement détaillées et fourmillantes de créatures oniriques. Héritier de Gustave Doré, Franklin Booth ou encore Bernie Wrightson, Stan Manoukian affine une écriture graphique unique grâce à une technique de hachures et d’estompe produisant, à l’encre ou à la mine de plomb, un rendu de gravure. Aujourd’hui internationalement reconnues, ses œuvres ont fait l’objet de plusieurs expositions et de livres aux États-Unis,  au Japon,  en Australie, en France et en Europe.

Foisonnant  de créatures à mi-chemin entre extraterrestre, animal et être des profondeurs abyssales, il nous transporte au travers de ces ouvrages dans un univers fantastique et surréaliste où la nature est omniprésente.

Lors de cette rencontre, Stan dédicacera ses livres Species volume 1 et 2, Encyclopedia of Monsters, Meelo ainsi que son sketchbook . Ces nouvelles éditions ont été publiées au mois de Mai 22 chez Caurette éditions.

RENCONTRE│ STAN MANOUKIAN

We will have the pleasure to welcome Stan Manoukian for a meeting and signing session on Sunday 12th June from 3pm to 5pm.

Stan Manoukian is a member of the post-lowbrow generation, with extremely detailed compositions full of dreamlike creatures. Heir to Gustave Doré, Franklin Booth and Bernie Wrightson, Stan Manoukian has refined a unique graphic style using a hatching and blurring technique that produces an engraving-like effect in ink or graphite.

Today, his work is internationally recognised and has been the subject of several exhibitions and books in the United States, Japan, Australia, France and Europe. Filled with creatures halfway between extraterrestrial, animal and being of the abyssal depths, he transports us through these works in a fantastic and surrealist universe where nature is omnipresent.

During this meeting, Stan will sign his books Species volume 1 and 2, Encyclopedia of Monsters, Meelo and his sketchbook. These new editions were published in May 22 by Caurette Editions
