BOOK SIGNING WITH SALAH EDDINE

-
Free admission
Come meet Salah Eddine at Fluctuart on Saturday, June 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a book signing of his book *Orléans by Names*.

Emerging in the 1980s and 1990s as an extension of the hip-hop movement, graffiti has become deeply embedded in cities. Ephemeral and sometimes anonymous, it has nonetheless built up a rich legacy since its inception—one whose full scope is difficult to fully grasp.

In light of this, Salah Eddine seeks to capture the full scope of graffiti artists’ work in Orléans in his book*Orléans by Names*. In doing so, he looks back over the past two decades, which have seen the emergence of several street artists whose works are sometimes overlooked or even forgotten.

For four years, Salah Eddine has been compiling photographs, archival materials, and personal accounts to shed light on the people who built the local graffiti scene in Orléans. Above all, the book conveys the author’s passion while celebrating street culture.

I'm signing up for the event:
