Don't miss this unique event!
About the book:
Eight artists, seven cities, thousands of kilometers traveled and a quest for inspiration at the ends of the earth. Street art has become an integral part of the urban landscape. Wherever we go, it's not uncommon to come across a signature scrawled on street furniture or a monumental fresco on a building facade, reflecting a local culture. Many urban artists, whether passionate travelers or adrenaline junkies, criss-cross the world's major cities to immerse themselves in new cultures.
From the vibrant streets of New York to the sumptuous corridors of the Moscow metro, via the devastated districts of Mosul, Laura Barbaray plunges us into the journeys of Kashink, Kelkin, Lady.K, Lima Lima, Ninin, Oji, Olivia de Bona and Tim Zdey, eight street artists who have chosen to paint in unfamiliar territory. Each destination is a new adventure, deeply human and intimate, offering the reader a glimpse into an artistic movement that transcends borders.
About the author:
Born in 1997 in the Paris region, Laura Barbaray is passionate about urban art and travel. Convinced that travel enriches artists' creativity, she launched Urban Art Podcast, in collaboration with the Urban Art Crew association, to give street artists a voice in their experience of elsewhere. Her keen interest in writing led her to adapt her podcast into a book, adding a new dimension to audio narratives.
