Initiated by the Fondation Desperados pour l'Art Urbain, in collaboration with branches of the Le M.U.R association, the "Impressions Partagées" project supports the work of 24 emerging urban artists in 6 French cities: Marseille, Paris, Mulhouse, Rennes, Orléans and Bordeaux. 24 artists have been given carte blanche to create an original work printed in 50 numbered and signed copies.
In the spirit of generosity and sharing so dear to the milieu, and to adapt to the constraints of the moment, the decision was made to offer the 1,200 silkscreens to the general public, via an online reservation module. Beyond the commissioning of works, the aim of this initiative is to highlight the vitality of French urban art, its multi-disciplinary nature, its local roots throughout France, its key players and its new generation of talented artists.
Also keen to act as a springboard to raise the profile of these young creators, the Foundation called on Arthur Vlog, a young filmmaker with a passion for urban art and a solid reputation in the field. With his camera, he set out to meet the artists and project players in each city, to highlight their talent and the initiatives that are bringing urban art to life in France today. These 6 reports and the editions in play can be found on the Foundation's Instagram account @fondationdesperados.
