"Méli-Mélo": a visual cocktail of colors in the heart of summer, this is the solo exhibition of artist Hydrane, a Franco-Peruvian multidisciplinary creator.
Trained as an architect, she draws on archaeology (Nazca signs), architecture and urban art. She has always juggled real and projected space through drawing, and today through a wide variety of techniques. Her pieces are fascinating plastic translations of emotions, with lyrical forms and colors communicating in harmony with the place and urban space dedicated to them.
This exhibition is a collaboration between Espace Canopy and Deborah Gallin - Hydrane's artistic agent - and will run from July 31 to August 13 at the Espace Canopy gallery. The opening will take place on July 31, 2021 The closing will take place on August 13, 2021.
Hydrane
Born in 1988, she currently lives and works in Paris. She developed a passion for drawing at a very early age, and has always known that her line oscillates between architectural creation and the creation of her own universe. After graduating from the Paris-Belleville School of Architecture in 2015, she decided to build bridges between her knowledge of architecture and her artistic practice, bringing them together through different mediums. Between near-nanoscopic drawings and 175m-long geoglyphs, she tries to adapt to all media, all scales and master the appropriate techniques.
Hydrane has been drawing for as long as she can remember, but it's only in the last five years that she's started creating frescoes. She created her first frescoes in Brazil in 2017, and has since developed a passion for large-format creations. She soon began collaborating with the cities of Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers and Le Mans, to name but a few. Her frescoes are also supported by various associations (Les 3 Murs, Pixoasso, etc.) and well-known institutions (Cité de Refuge, Paris 13ème). In addition, she is taking part in the 2018 Venice Biennale thanks to the collective at 6B - a building dedicated to art and creation - where she is artist-in-residence. The artist's collaboration with haute couture house Louis Vuitton marks a major turning point in her career (note: this artist-architect is the first to build a bridge between the worlds of street art and luxury goods).
