The fourth edition of Street for Kids, a charity auction to benefit the Musée en Herbe, will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020, once again bringing together figures from urban and contemporary art to support the Musée en Herbe.
Since the start of the 2019 academic year, students in the "International Art Market" Specialized MBA program at ICART, a school of cultural and art market management, have been working over the space of a few months to bring this fourth edition to life. Following the success of the three previous editions, the students' aim is to surpass these records!
The 2019 event raised 85,050 euros, all of which was donated to the Musée en Herbe to continue its efforts to promote access to art, in particular through its "Les récrés du Musée" art workshops for audiences far removed from culture.
After a temporary halt to the project and the closure of the Museum during the Covid-19 lockdown, the sale is rescheduled for Monday September 21 at 7pm. The economic context makes it all the more crucial to the Museum's ambitions: to open its doors to as many people as possible, and to raise public awareness of art from an early age.
As in previous years, the sale will be held in partnership with Artcurial and under the hammer of auctioneer Arnaud Oliveux, a specialist in urban art. No fewer than 105 lots will pass under his hammer!
Lots can now be viewed on the Invaluable online auction platform: collectors can register and place bids today, and of course on the evening of the sale live(https://www.invaluable.com/catalog/ul6nxm1nbn). It is also possible to place a purchase order or bid remotely by telephone.
The physical presentation of the works will take place at Galerie Joël Knafo (182 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris) on Saturday September 19th (from 1pm to 7pm) and Sunday September 20th (from 1pm to 6pm).
Buying a work of art at the Street for Kids 4 sale is a direct way of supporting the Musée en Herbe and treating yourself at the same time, with no buyer's fees (except for online purchases - 5%)!
