About the authors:

Chrixcel has been passionate about urban art since 2007. An author and photographer in the field, from 2011 to date she has published over fifteen books, including nine monographs and two fine art books with Critères. A regular writer of biographies, exhibition catalogues and press releases for galleries, from summer 2022 she will be contributing to Graffiti Art Magazine. As well as writing about street art, Chrixcel explores the world in search of abandoned places.

Nicknamed “The artist with the cutter”, Thomas Schmitt, also known as Thom Thom, founded the Le MUR association with Jean Faucheur in 2003. Based in Paris since 2000, he has developed his artistic practice through the research of the New Realists and the Situationists, who inspire him. Thom Thom works in situ on advertising hoardings, particularly in the eleventh arrondissement of Paris. He cuts out, sculpts and chisels posters. One layer, two layers, ten layers: all his work plays on thickness. He is an authentic poster archaeologist. Alongside his artistic career, Thom Thom has been a guide for Street Art Tour Paris since 2015.
