On the occasion of the opening of our first graffiti exhibition on Wednesday 13 October from 6pm, we wanted to invite the Godfather of Rap, Daniel, aka Grandmaster DJ Dee Nasty.
GRANDMASTER DJ DEE NASTY
Since the 80’s, he has been mixing in the biggest festivals as well as in the smallest clubs to transmit his passion for a culture that he has largely contributed to popularize in France. From New York, San Francisco, to the northern suburbs of Paris, he met graffiti artists, breakers, the Sugar Hill Gang, and invited Public Enemy, Afrika Bambaata in his sessions. He has collaborated with NTM, M.C Solaar and Assassin. Producer and radio host, the Zulu King has released The Furious EP with his accomplice The Real Fake M and will soon release a record with EJM. The pioneer is also a consultant on the Arte series Le Monde de demain, filmed this year, which documents the genesis of French hip-hop.
He will be accompanied by Judah Roger, the dj of Pierpoljak and Daddy Mory (Raggasonic).
DJ JUDAH ROGER
He has been pacing the reggae scene in France for years. He is a hip hop fanatic and has played with Joey Starr and the Scred Connexion. He hosts a show on Radio Nova every Wednesday and collaborates with ihh magazine and reggae.fr. DJ, host and radio commentator, Judah Roger spreads his solid background of underground, afro and reggae culture all over the world. Whether it’s playing records, accompanying artists, doing radio shows or producing mixtapes, it’s always in the service of music, good vibes and his love for Jamaican music. It is with great pleasure that he will concoct a mix of oldschool US and French music on October 13th.
