The Bookshop is pleased to welcome Katre for a signing session of his new self-published book “Katre Book”.

About the artist

In 1993, Katre realized his first graffiti. Ten years later, he presents his first canvas where painting and photography are mixed: an aesthetic approach that has become his trademark. Katre silkscreens his black and white photographs on brushed aluminum or glass and then paints the letter K – from his name – which can be likened to explosive strokes and speed. The final work, complex, is characterized by a dynamic and contrasted composition, the flashes of colors merging with the rubble and metal bars of the photographed places, which are very real. Katre has fun with supports and also with volume by proposing in his exhibitions installations where photography, painting, neon lights, straps and rubble are mixed in order to propose to the spectator to be in immersion in his universe.
