PLONGÉE EN EAUX TROUBLES, QUAND L’HOMME ENTRE EN SEINE

From 7 April to 17 June 2022, discover on Fluctuart, the new immersive exhibition “Plongée en eaux troubles, Quand l’homme entre en Seine”.

11 artists from the urban art world take over Fluctuart and take the visitor on an initiatory journey through new works dedicated to the aquatic fauna of the Seine. An artistic journey punctuated by catfish, eels, perch, pike or goldfish… but also by their mythological avatars or biological mutations: mermaids, newts or hybrid monsters.

“Reservoir or dumping ground? When man sets his sights on the waters of the Seine, he appropriates
resources as much as he dumps his surplus into it. The ecosystem is thus
disturbed and its fauna disturbed. Unnecessarily fished, carelessly mixed or neglected
or neglected out of ignorance, the river’s hosts try to escape or cohabit with humans and their
rejects. But this sometimes feared fauna is also fantasised by its predator, through
strange, mysterious and even dangerous creatures. It is therefore up to urban artists to
redefine their image to give them their rightful place on the surface and in depth.

A group exhibition echoing the “Wild Incursions” exhibition at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature

From 11 April to 10 September 2022 at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature “Incursions sauvages” is an exhibition that is in line with current events by questioning our cohabitation with a disturbed animal world through the prism of contemporary urban creation. (…) Beyond the environmental theme, the exhibition is also a metaphor for the urban art of “wild” origin that has taken over the museum, an art that has become an alarm bellwether.
