Talk & Meeting · Remi Rough

On Wednesday 12 July, we are delighted to welcome London artist Remi Rough and gallery owner Arthur Bessaud for a talk on the artist’s career, his artistic practice and his Paris residency.

A WORD ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in 1971 and based in London, Remi Rough is one of the UK’s leading ‘post-graffiti’ artists, having started out as an ‘old school’ graffiti artist, painting letters on public walls and trains in South London in 1984. Today, the artist has gone from walls to canvas and regularly exhibits in galleries. Remi Rough’s artistic evolution over the last thirty years has been impressive, and he has succeeded brilliantly in harmonising outdoor and studio painting without losing his style. Remi Rough still works on the street and uses not only cans of paint, but also brushes to create pieces on paper, wood and canvas.
