C’est l’histoire de Claire, pionnière du skate français. De Shani Bru, première femme à apparaître en couverture
de Sugar, 20 ans après la création du magazine de skate français. Ou encore Charlotte Hym, doctorante parisienne qui se bat pour aller aux premiers JO de skate et emmène Lucie, 11 ans et déjà impressionnante par son niveau en skate, découvrir le bonheur de skater dans les rues de Paris… Durant l’année symbolique des premiers JO de skate de Tokyo, Bande de skateuses retrace ainsi l’évolution du skateboard féminin dans l’Hexagone grâce à l’histoire de sept skateuses issues de trois générations. Entre légitimité, image et place de la femme, sororité et révolution depuis 2017 à l’annonce de l’entrée du skateboard aux Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo ; le film retrace le périple des jeunes filles, de leur aventure olympique à leur trip estival dans le Sud de la France en quête de spots. Ce film montre aussi tout un panel de façon de vivre le skate et immerge dans une culture riche et en perpétuelle évolution.

Or Charlotte Hym, a Parisian doctoral student who is fighting to go to the first skate Olympics and takes Lucie, 11 years old and already impressive with her level of skateboarding, to discover the joy of skating in the streets of Paris… During the symbolic year from the first Tokyo skate Olympics, Bande de skateuses traces the evolution of women’s skateboarding in France thanks to the story of seven skaters from three generations. Between legitimacy, image and place of women, sorority and revolution since 2017 with the announcement of the entry of skateboarding into the Tokyo Olympic Games; the film retraces the journey of the young girls, from their Olympic adventure to their summer trip to the South of France in search of spots. This film also shows a whole range of ways of experiencing skateboarding and immerses you in a rich and constantly evolving culture.
